That's an encouraging story, Dan. Yesterday I tried out a very nice-*looking*
used Buffet with an asking price of $2800 at a music store. I have never
played bass c. before, still I can't imagine that the reason I couldn't get
into the clarion register was due to lack of experience. The low notes sounded
wonderful.

I will probably look for one to rent for a week or two. My dream is to find one
at a garage sale (g).
