I am brand new to the list and hesitate to put my two cents in
but here goes: Kevin makes the comment "the best embouchure(for bass
clarinet) is that of a clarinet embouchure" To me anyway, that
includes the double-lip. Granted it isn't terriy popular but I have
known some excellent players that use it. I certainly wouldn't
classify myself as excellent but I used it for years until I started
doubling on Oboe and it just didn't feel right anymore.
As long as I'm here- I'm relocating to south-eastern Virginia and will
be in need of a teacher...
