Not to denigrate Contronia (whom I've never heard of), but isn't there
enough good beginner's repertoire out there without hunting all over
creation for an out-of-print piece which is probably all on a minute
long? As a teacher of mostly beginners for the last 15 years, I find it
hard to believe that this teacher couldn't find other things to assign
which ARE in print. I have no such problem. There are lots of excellent
collections of music which are both cost-efficient (you get lots of tunes
in one book) and readily, cheaply available. Ask your daughter's teacher
for some other options.
PS, do you have a name, or do you always sign letters with an
e-mail address?
