Hello! I am a new subscriber, and I wanted to introduce myself. My name is
Adrienne Geffen. I am a freshman in high school - a bit young for this list, I
know, but I'm learning a lot - and I play clarinet (obviously) and tenor sax for
jazz. I like just about all kinds of music and listen to just about all of it as
well. I plan to major in Performance and go on to be a theatre or studio
musician.

I have a question that some of you may be able to answer, ending a very long
debate between a friend and me. It may sound childish, but I'd appreciate your
help anyway. She has a Yamaha clarinet, with silver-plated keys - I don't know
what model. I have a Buffet Evette E-11, and I'm not too sure what the keys are,
but I think they're nickel. I say that my clarinet is better because it's a
Buffet, but she says hers is better because of the silver keys. What do you
think?

Also - I will be playing a little bit of the Mozart Concerto in about a month
for a competition. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm kind of having a hard
time. (Remember I'm only in 9th grade :-)

Thank you in advance for your advice, and I'm glad to be on the list!

Adrienne Geffen
