Subj: Breathless !!!

Aargh!!! Help !!! My clarinet teacher has just given me
a thing to learn and it has eighteen !!!! bars of quarter
notes (what are those things called again?) and not
a single little rest anywhere. How on earth am I
supposed to breathe ? I didn't look at it until I got
home, and I won't see him again for two weeks.
What do I do? Even a very short breath seems to
take up at least two notes, and I don't think I am
quite ready for round breathing yet.

Desperate in Melbourne (and definitely considering
switching to piano or violin.)
