Louis,
GOOD LUCK!!!!! I have not yet been introduced to a "C" clarinet
with even the most remote concept of tuning to itself. The closest to it I
ever tried was, believe it or not, the Noblet! (and the cheapest, too). I
think, as I stated in a previous posting, that the problem lies in the
mouthpiece size. I suspect that a regular B-flat clarinet mouthpiece is
too long. Possibly if you have someone shorten the mouthpiece by a few
millimeters, that will have a salutary effect. I also suspect that a
narrower bore on the mouthpiece will work better, too.
Any clarinet design mavens out there to comment on this??
