(I will probably never post anything of interest here, only ask a bunch of
questions, I hope you don't mind!)

Anyway, I was wondering, my director said that Vandoren Javas are
the best Vandorens you can get, but what is all the stuff about the "purple
boxes" and "V12's" and things? Was Mr. Anders over-exadgerating? He just
gave all the saxes a box of Vandoren Javas and if they're all that great,
why is he handing them out like napkins? Anyway, my second question, for
anyone that knows about sax mpcs. is: I have a Eugene Rousseau JDX5
mouthpiece on my tenor sax, and it says it's a jazz model (which is what I
play on tenor) but it is really a better grade mpc.? Also it has this funny
warp thing on the inner surface just behind the reed, if that a deformation
or is it supposed to be like that? Thanks!
