Cary,
I'll second what Bill Fogle so alertly observed. I have been on a
mouthpiece hunt for a while and tried a Hite mouthpiece which I liked.
The only problem was that the v-12's I've been using on my mouthpiece
didn't seem to work on the Hite. So I called David and he confirmed that
the mouthpiece was in fact designed for regular vandoren reeds. When I
tried them it worked much better, although I didn't eventually buy it. So
I would not be surprised if that B-45-dot mouthpiece of yours is not
suitable to v-12's.
