Have any of you ever played Villa-Lobos' Choros No. 10? I have a friend who
needs some great fingerings for the high notes at the solo passage at
letter H. The sequence of notes is extreme high Bb-Cb-Bb-Ab-Gb-G-Ab-A-Bb,
and my friend is particularly concerned about playing a very quick
Bb-Ab-Gb. She is considering playing the passage on the Eb clarinet, but
she would have to sacrifice a few notes to make the change. Forgive me if
my information about this music is sketchy, this is all from a phone
conversation.
