A long time ago, I had a Buffet double case that required that the bells
be left on the lower joints. When I got my Eb, I wanted a triple case
that allowed for the joints to all be separated so the corks wouldn't
compress the way they did in the double case. Soooo, I made my own
case that holds an A, Bb and Eb clarinet using a five inch deep
Samsonite briefcase. Each piece of each instrument has its own slot
and the case has served me well for seventeen years.
