I too am one of the few Selmer people around... I have a Prologue Bb
and just recently acquired an old Series 9 A. The A has some tuning
problems in an odd way, which I am getting used to adjusting for, my
Bb I like quite a lot though, even after comparing it to some new
buffets I tried. I'm also using a C85 120 mouthpiece but my teacher
wants me to change because it gives me a stuffy sound. I've also found
that I can't get the vandoren reeds to work with it at all. I use Glotin
Nice to know of at least one other person playing on Selmer. I don't
of any others out here in Montreal...

Actually, my purchasing of both these instruments was just chance. They
happened to be all that was available in my price range at the time...
I don't know what would happen if I had some money and compared the
other brands vs. Selmer for a new clarinet... I'd probably end up with
something else, although I do like my Bb quite a bit (leaky pads aside).
