Hi! I'll add one more opinion.....I think it's great you're looking for a
greater challenge, so joining a community band of some sort is a great idea.
But, I would discourage you from leaving your school's band. In every band,
some people are better than the average skill level, and some are below it.
If you're better than the average, then I'd encourage you to think of
yourself as a role model. You have something to contribute to the group.
