I have to aggree with what Shelly Barabash said. Ever since I was a little
girl and went to my sisters band performances, I've wanted to play clarinet.
I was fascinated by the sound and how it looks. If my band conducter
suddenly threw me into the flute section, I would quit. First of all, its
the musicians that are giving the conducter the band. If we didn't play
what instruments we wanted, the band would sound horrible. If nobody wants
to be there and not have a good time, why bother?? Second, we are the ones
that give him the job. It's like he is a critic. What we do wrong, he
makes a note of. I'm not saying this is a bad way to be, but the least he
can do is let us play the instruments we are more experienced at and WANT to
play!!!
