I (being a clarinet at heart) also had to sneak into jazz band on another
instrument, tenor sax in my case. Although a somewhat easier switch, it was
nonetheless very unfair. Of course, there is the occasional double as you
said. Why is it that high-school and junior high jazz bands don't have
clarinet? What is their problem? Don't they know that clarinet is oh so
much more worthy? :]
