As in a lot of movies, plays, and TV shows, one must arrive in his own mind
at a solution, continuation,or an idea of what one thinks might take place.

A lot of movies leave the audience wondering what is going to happen, or
how it ends...Have you not experienced this?
The movie may last way too long if all answers are given...What is wrong with
leaving things to our own imagination.
I, for one, feel that the movie got the message across that the fine arts
are subject to cuts or elimination and when and if this should really be
the case, those of us who were impressed as I was with the movie will
take an active part in fighting such cuts...(Please excuse this type of
scentence) THE MOVIE GOT THIS MESSAGE TO ME!
As for the relationship of Mr. Holland with his students, ex students,
the coach, the governor, his opus or symphony,or anything else of interesrt
in the movie..it's just a movie, and a very interesting one for me.
I'm a former band director and who am I to judge Mr. Holland for his
ability as a music teacher, band director, or just plain teacher.
I thought it showed a real human side of a teacher, father,
husband, friend, and faculty member and associate of other teachers,
administrators, school boards, and even COACH...What's the beef anyway..??
It was and is a good show..
