I am a Senior at Northeast Missouri State Universtiy soon to be Truman
State University. Northeast is Missouri's Liberal Arts and Sciences
University. As a music major I'm required to take courses such as
Intro. to Poli. Sci, Chemistry, Biology, Two English Comp. classes,
French, Literature classes, Exploring Religions, Anthropology, Speech,
etc. My list could go on and on and on... One thing I love about
Northeast is that even though I'm immersed in Music classes I'm still a
well rounded person. Every once in a while I hate the University for the
core classes that I'm required to take but in the long run it's worth
it. I think that I'll posess the qualities that Dan Leeson was talking
about. Dan, Sorry that I don't have your letter in here but I still
haven't figured out how to cut and paste on our system, let alone edit.
So, from a Music major that's gone the liberal arts route I'd highly
suggest it. These core classes are a great break from Music Theory,
Music History, etc. I also think that it will help prepare me for Grad.
School. Sarah Woody
