Andy,

Here is information on how to research the ICA library via e-mail. A
few months ago while I was doing research on operatic fantasies on
Bellini opera themes (sorry, Dan...while I certainly relate to your
love-hate relationship with this genre, every once in awhile, a person
just feels like playing one...or, at least gets the urge to write a whole
dissertation on the topic :)...) I was told to contact Thomas Bramel at
the University of Maryland. His e-mail address is:

The library lends items to ICA members for a period of 2 months. A
total of 15 items can be borrowed at any one time. Once you know the
ICA# of the piece you want by contacting the library, send the ICA#
and title along with a copy of your ICA membership card. The fees are
$5.00 for 1-5 pieces; $6.00 for 6-10 pieces, and $7.00 for 11-15
pieces. Make your check out to THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND FOUNDATION
and mail the request to:

Special Collections in Music
Music Library/Hornbake 3210
University of Maryland
College Park, MD 20742

By the way, I doubt the library will send you a whole listing of what
the ICA library owns, so make sure you have specific titles in mind,
as well as look at the ICS Score Collection book (not up-to-date).
