Greetings -

In addition to Gambaro and Pranzer (last posting), I'm also working on
William O. Smith's _Five Pieces for Clarinet Alone_. In doing some
research for the notes, I came across an article in James Gillespie's
book _Solos for Unaccompanied Clarinet: An Annotated Bibliography of
Published Works_. The article quotes commentary from Smith - "and in the
fifth movement, three notes are played at the same time to form a final
chord." Two tremolos, rather than three notes, end the movement. Does
anyone know about this particular multiphonic moment? Perhaps Jonathan
Cohler? (Great CD!)

Thanks again -
