To Whom This May Concern:

I've received the news regarding Dr. Paynter's condition. So sad to hear. I
met Dr. Paynter while living in Tucson, AZ, where he conducted the Arizona
All State High School Honor Band at the University of Arizona some years ago.
Many of my friends there know him personally. I just hope that he will
recover, but know that the chances are not good. Thank heavens for email as
our local news services here probably don't carry something of this nature.

I would appreciate having a recording of the Northwestern University Bands
and the Northshore Community Band under his baton. If possible, please let
me know if these are available.
