Hello everybody ...
Once again I'm getting a good response to my offer to send scores of my newly
Finale-transcribed music to anyone who's interested.
Two points need clarifying:
1) Several have asked me to send "the trio" ... there is no trio in this offer.
There is a work for reed trio (oboe, clarinet, bassoon) + piano. So it's a
quartet, right? :-) This might seem a little on the splitting-hairs side, but
I don't want to send out to music to some trio that has no pianist and can't use
music that requires a pianist.
2) When I say that I'll send "the score" what I mean is that I 'll send the
full score and parts for the reed trio + piano piece and that I'll send the
parts only for the WW Quintet (since I can't see a real necessity for the full
score and it will save us all a little photocopying, postage, etc.) ... though,
of course, if anyone requests a full score, for whatever reason, I'd be glad to
send it. In fact, it suddenly occurs to me that perhaps I ought not to make
this assumption ... Hey, I'll be humble and ask for advice: should I send the
full score along with the parts when I mail out my WW Quintet?
And now here's a larger question -- I have also written quite a lot of splendid
music for cello and would like to make a similar offer (to send out free scores
to whoever expresses an interest) to the cello world. Is there a cello
equivalent of Klarinet forum? (perhaps with an equally unexpected spelling:
Czello? Cjello? Chello? Tch'hello? Othello? Whatever?)
Can anyone advise me?
