In regards to the doubling required on Guys & Dolls.

The first book needs alto sax, flute and clarinet.
The second book is evenly clarinet and alto sax
The third book is mostly clarinet with a bit of tenor sax.
The fourth book is mostly tenor sax w/ a bit of clarinet.
The fith book is barry sax with some base clarinet.

When my highschoool did the show we used a flutist and an alto sax (w/
some transposing for the clarinet parts) for book one. Normal
configuration of the second book. A clarinetist for all of the third
book(Me. I did try to play stuff in the correct octave when the Tenor
sax was called for) and a tenor sax for all of the fourth book (with the
oposite corrections). The fifth book was done entirely with barry sax.
