B. Walton also played those horrible across-the-break arpeggi in the last
movement *as printed* in the usual (i.e. non-basset) editions of the day. My
brother has a British L.P. version somewhere - of course, this could be a
diferent recording. If I ever hear this version again, I'll listen out for
those first-movement bits.
