I must say that I have a tremendous respect for good repair experts; this
is an art and I see no reason why such skills should not be well
rewarded. I live in Ann Arbor and the only local repair man died about
two years ago. Since then I have had to take my horns with me on trips
to have them worked on. The good side of this was meeting one of the
best there is, John Weir of Toronto, and whenever my wife ventures up
there to perform, I tag along as roadie to get my instruments put back in
shape. It is hard, however, when small things go wrong and you have no
one around you can trust!
