Here's an old news item I'll pass on, FWIW:

"At 83 years old, June Kirlin is a veritable self-contained fireworks
display, full of vigor, creativity and music.
In March 1994 her composition _Double Concerto for Clarinet, Oboe and
Orchestra_ was performed at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts by
the Oregon Mozart Players and conducted by Apo Hsu. Her music expresses
her responses to nature, and this concerto celebrates the northwest, the
mountains, the desert, the waterfalls and the lakes. Karen Kammerer, The
Register-Guard reviewer, said "The skillful orchestral scoring, clever
duet writing and melodic lyricism is a breath of fresh air."
