This is actually more about the Dampit things, since I mentioned it a few
messages ago. I am using one now, but there is an IMPORTANT warning,
which may be obvious to some, but wasn't to me. The instructions that
come with the dampit say to put it inside the bore of the instrument
while it is in the case. According to multiple people, this is DEAD
WRONG. You can actually CAUSE the instrument to crack by doing this...
you should put it next to the instrument, not in it.

As I said before... my clarinet has a small crack, and the way I know
when I need to wet the dampit is that the crack starts to open again (its
not visable during the summer or when the humidity is kept right.)
