Dear SEAN,

I have never made mouthpieces with a particular brand of clarinet in
mind but do in my literature mention that they sound best with V-12 3.5 or
4 reeds. Also, if you use a stock Yamaha barrel the likelihood is that they
would sound "tinny" since the same results seem aparent with stock Buffet
barrels. Even with the Moennig tapered barrels they still are not quite at their
best. I find that the Buffet Chadash barrel consistently works the best on
both
the LeBlanc and Buffet clarinet in combination with my mouthpiece. Also
I recommend a Bonade inverted ligature (that fits properly!) .
Whose mthpc. and what facing did you try? I would be quite interested
to know the complete set-up that you used in your test.

Thank you for
your interest.

Gregory Smith
