I have been in search of some good clarinet quartets for a few years now, but I
have not been very successful. I need a good quartet to play in a high school
group. Any literature we have at our high school has been too easy for our
group to play. It has also been a problem trying to find a piece that is
appropriate for the levels of players we have. The first chair player has been
the first chair in the state band since her sophomore year and is very talented.
The second chair player is very good although not near the level of the first
player, and the third and fourth parts are good, but not outstanding. Please
help me in my quest for a quartet to fit the level of players we have.
