Dan Leeson recently posted his impression that the Mozart Singonie
Concertante for winds is being performed less and less. I my personal
experience I can recall hearing two performances in Indiana the 1970s but
only one in the '80s, when it was played by one of the community orchestra
in which I play. That performance was in 1986, and I haven't heard it live
since. I don't recall hearing a recorded performance on the radio in the
Baltimore/Washington area more than once or twice either.
All three of performances I heard used clarinet, not flute.

Why do you think it would be played in flute version more in the future?
>It is tough for clarinet players to lose any repertoire, but a
>concerto by Mozart?????? That's tragedy.
Agreed.
Cheers,
Steve
