The 1010 is really not an "un-popular" instrument everywhere--here yes.
But the is a very die-hard crowd of enthusiasts that still play the inst-
rument. They have not been made for a number of years--Peter Eaton has
taken up the slack as well as Rossi in South America. Several issues ago the
Clarinet Magazine had an article about a recording session in London in
which all the players used their 1010's. I used a pair in '71 and 72
while a student in London. They did not mix in when I returned home.

Frank Holdsworth (late) of the Bournemouth Symphony and Ed James from
the Boosey & Hawkes firm were two 1010 mouthpiece makers. I know

that you may be able to make contact with some players in England that
would have sources for these mouthpieces. Hope that helps.

Whatever you do do not expect any good result from instrument using a
mouthpiece not intended for the .600 cylyndrical bore.
