I would like to solicit comments from anyone about playing 1010's. I've
recently acquired mine and am getting to know it. I don't find that I can
just pick it up and play like I can the French instruments. I love the
sound. It's the "feel" I'm having a time with. I have two B&H
mouthpieces, one says "1010" with, I think, the number "3" imprinted on
it. The instrument was manufactured around 1973. It'll be pretty funny if
I don't hear any talk about this. But I think that's what I like about
the horn: its unpopularity!!!
