I'll never forget going into a shop in Manhattan and seeing a large
wooden box filled with, well, what used to be old clarinets. I was
shopping at the time, and I wanted to lean over to the saleswoman and say
"Hey---what I really want is that box of Benny Goodman-era junk."

Isn't there a repair-guru with a box of parts and things somewhere? What
does a manufacturer do with the parts that split right off the line? Oh,
please pity me and send me a lead!
