Hi Steve!

I've been using Oliveri #4 reeds for 35 years and love them. I play
them on a Gigliotti P mouthpiece. But let me tell you, even 35 years ago
the rumor was that Oliveri reeds squeeked. I NEVER had a squeeking problem
with them and find many that become wonderfully good. I must admit that I
liked the older UNTEMPERED Oliveri reeds better than the newer TEMPERED
variety, but they stopped making the untempered version a few years back.
Perhaps if you stuck with them for a while you would adjust to them.
Strangely enough, I never liked VanDoren reeds! Each to his own. Find your
niche and live within it.
