Allen,
First, contact the composer if he is alive. You should be able to
find him in either the Who's Who in Music, ASCAP or BMI or maybe even the
Amerigrove. Since it's in the IU Series, why not contact IU? Try
fingering him on e-mail. There really are lots of options if you want to
be a little creative. Did you consider contacting SouTex? Sometimes they
have archival recordings of the pieces which you can request for a
nominal fee (or even FREE, as in the case of a piece I bought).
