There are at least 2 Australian women who have made successful careers
performing (piano) and composing. Both have composed for clarinet. They
are Miriam Hyde and Dulcie Holland.

Both are about 80 years old now so their careers have spanned quite a lot
of the earlier to mid part of this century.

The Australian Music Centre will provide any information about these women.
Miriam Hyde has a biography (or autobiography) published. I am not sure
which.

Is it possible to distinguish in any way between music composed by women
and that by men??
