It is my understanding from a friend who works regularly in Poland that
the orchestral parts to "Dance Preludes" is no longer in print. In
December 94, I tried to locate a set during a trip to Warsaw and
Katowice, to no avail. I have a recording with orchestra (old, on an LP),
and they work beautifully.

The "original" version of this work that I have (from 1973) was published
by the Polish state publishing agency (can't recall the exact name). I
inquired a few years later at Frank Music iun NYC about a new copy for a
student, and the owner, Frank Marx offered the following (paraphrased):

"The Polish government doesn't understand the publishing business.
They print a few thousand of some work and destroy the plates, so there's
never a second edition."

The last I knew, "Dance Preludes" was published by Chester.
