I hope that I am not trampling on sacred ground here. I am just now
listening with great pleasure to Reginald Kell's recording of the Mozart
concerto with Malcolm Sargent. The tempos, the definition of the lines,
and the passion come thought very nicely on my unprocessed reissue, filled
with 78 noise (but then I prefer Gigli to most modern tenors...). I
gather that some people no longer like the Kell approach, his vibratio and
tone. I would be curious to know why. Just a question.
