Clarinet afficianados are invited to take a look at my new web site.

The address is: http://www.primax.net/rick

My web site serves many functions. One of the most exciting of these is that it
makes available for downloading three of my original clarinet compositions: a
suite for unaccompanied clarinet, a suite for clarinet and cello and a song
cycle for coloratura soprano and clarinet. Anyone who's interested can download
these works for free, take a look at them, save them, use them, delete them ...
whatever.

And it really is for free.

I ask nothing in return. But, of course, I would enjoy hearing from anyone who
cared to express an opinion about the appearance and usefulness of the web site,
(which will probably always benefit from suggestions for improvement) and even
nicer to hear from someone who actually downloaded, used and enjoyed the music.

Some write music for money or for career advancement. I write for the love of
the art and to connect with other people. This experiment (of offering free
scores on-line for downloading) is an attempt to get around the whole
complicated world of publishers, critics, notable performances, recordings, etc.
-- in short, to deliver music straight from the composer (me) to someone who
might be interested in knowing about it (you, maybe?).

I'm 45. I've been at this for a while now. I've written 160 other original
compositions (mostly chamber and vocal works) which, eventually, I also hope to
offer for free downloading. Soon my little list of three clarinet works will be
expanded to offer a piano solo and a choral-piano anthem. Other works will join
this list as I slowly tackle the enormous task of transcribing my hand-written
scores into Finale notation. And, of course, I'm writing new works which will
also be offered in the near future.

Well, I've done my part -- I've written the best music I could write and I've
made it as available as possible. The ball's in your court.

P.S. I didn't create this web site by myself -- a special thanks to Randall
Wright and Oliver Seely for all their time, guidance and enthusiasm.
