I've also been quite happy with my 5RV lyre. I've flirted with other
mouthpieces over the years, but keep coming back to the 5RV lyre. I like
it because it seems to give me a consistent sound throughout the entire
range of the clarinet.

What about altissimo playing? Since I've started with the 5RV Lyre [again, after
adopting the
Morgan 06 for two years] I find a better ability to "place" high tones. However,
there is a certain thinness
of sound. Of course, it might not be the mouthpiece.
