Welcome back to the list, Nick. For the information of other
List members, I was indebted to Nick for two reasons. The first had to
do with his sending me a piece of music I had searched fruitlessly for
over a period of more than two years.

The second reason had to do with a feature he included with each
message. At the end of each posting he would include a news flash of
unusual and unpredictable content. I still miss them, even though they
rarely had anything to do with the clarinet. My favorite news item
went thus:

"Precinct toilet stolen. Police have nothing to go on!"

I've always been curious about Nick's news sources. Exactly what
newspaper(s) do you read, Nick?
