To all subscribers in the Washington DC area,
The Smithsonian Institute's festival of ethnic music IS ON!!!! They
found money to open up the American History Museum despite the
government's partial shutdown. Therefore, you're all invited to a free
and wonderfully fun event. Machaya Klezmer Band will be performing on
Tuesday, the 26th at 2 PM. There will be other Jewish bands but I don't
know the schedule of those. You can call, I guess. For those not familiar
with this event, it goes from Tuesday to Saturday with music and other
acts representing cultures from all over the globe. Hope to see you
there!!!!!!!!!!!!!
