I'm new to this list, so will briefly introduce myself. I have been an
amateur clarinettist for (many) years, and am currently living in the
"wilds" of northern Minnesota. We have a good community band and several
jazz and dixie groups -- you make your own culture up here.
I tried the M-13 and found it stuffy on my Yamaha. Perhaps I play too soft
a reed to make it work, but after trying several, ended up with the 5RV
Lyre for now. The Woodwind and Brasswind will allow you to try out 3 at a
time, with a 12.50 restocking fee if you buy none. I have tried this
twice, with no problems.
