Eduard Brunner was born in Switzerland (Basel, I think) and was first
clarinet with the Munich Orchestra under Kubelik for a number of years.
I believe that he now teaches at the Hochschule fur Musik just outside
Munich.

Does anyone know (FOR ABSOLUTE CERTAIN) if Brunner plays a French or
German system of clarinet? I know that it would be extraordinarily
difficult for a French system player to have held such a position
under Kubelik because the German orchestras as so very firm in their
conviction not to use French system players, but that conclusion, while
rational, may not be true; i.e., Brunner is such an exceptional player
that he is the kind of guy for whom exceptions are made.

Does anyone know for sure, sure, sure, by personal knowledge, not hearsay,
what system Eddie Brunner uses??
