Dan and others, you may be happy to know that the Peters edition (No.
8595, copyright 1987) has a bassethorn part. There is an alternate 2nd
clarinet part, but no bassoon (or cello) part. Hence there is no risk of
being killed by Dan or other bassethornists, since I am sure the appropriate
penalty for playing it on two Bb clarinets is marginally less severe.
