Scotty,

Thank God that playing the clarinet IS a hobby as well as an occupation!
Most of my students play only for fun and entertainment. I myself
started playing the clarinet as a hobby (And it remained thus throughout
most of my undergraduate education.) Even though today I make my living
teaching and playing the clarinet, I do so only because I love it, including
all
of the fun and humor. I wonder, did you pick up your new clarinet if fifth
grade
and say, "I, for one, want information and nothing else matters. If this was
a
hobby and not a livelyhood I might agree with you. It is not - I don't."
when
your teacher tried to make a pleasant joke?

I'm sorry about you long distance expenses. Have you explored ALL the
possibilities for a less expensive service?

Teri Herel
