Do you know anyone going to the Widwest Band & Orchestra Convention in
Chicago? It begins Tuesday (Dec. 19)and runs through Saturday. The Air
Force will have a booth. Have a band director friend who will be going pick
you up a complimentary cassette or two.

If anyone knows how to get on the Air Force Band's mailing list (for
recordings), I would like to know. I know that Marine Band policies are
that complimentary recordings will be sent to school libraries, but not
individual band enthusiasts. Our school is now on the Marine mailing list.
The Army Band sent our school library around a half-dozen CD recordings,
but made no mention of whether it sends to an established mailing list.

I have not been able to determine exact policies for the Navy or Air Force
(don't know whom or where to contact, and neither does the local recruiter
for those branches). If anybody else knows, please share the information.
