Hi, Gary,

I would suggest you go with California, rather than Arizona, on your horn
choices -- at least in Tucson, I know the selection is almost zero, and I
don't know of anyone who uses any shops in Phoenix either (which is only
two hours away).

Robert Gilbert Woodwinds is in LA and they always have a large selection
of horns at pretty good prices. That's where I got my last horn, but I
did it through the mail. Unless you live somewhere like LA, Chicago, or
New York, you stand a better chance of getting a good horn by mail order,
IF you know the right dealer and what specific characteristics you're
looking for. I would imagine that the "musical instrument dealers" in
Tucson probably sell one Buffet R-13 a year, and that it came from a
warehouse that had been thoroughly picked over first!!
