I'd imagine that the new reed would actually save you money, if you calculate
the amount you'd spend on hydrogen peroxide to get the reed to last only a
couple of
days longer. Personally, I can't be bothered: When they're dead, they're
dead. Ceremoniously drop them on the floor & squash them with your foot.
