There were two different Frank Kaspars. Frank Kaspar worked in Illinois,
and Frank L. kaspar worked in Ann Arbor. They were cousins, and were
orphaned after World war one. They came here (i don't remember from
where) and went to work making mouthpieces for a famous maker (that whose
name is slipping my memory) and made what I think to be the most
extraordinary mouthpieces. These mouthpieces are very rare, especdially
the ones made for Eb and Bass, because those instruments were much less
commonly owned in the time of the kaspars. I recently bought an Eb
mouthpiece (which I think is exceptional) for $350, which could have
easily sold for $500. If you find one, hang on to it.
Perhaps somebody else could help me with the names?
