Yes,

I was there Friday night. I was sitting in the front row of the Founders'
Circle, and the balance sounded fine to me. I could hear the clarinet and
bassoon quite clearly. The piece itself sounded rather insubstantial [a lot
of noodling, little melodic content, little harmonic interest], but the
soloists and orchestra both played it beautifully. I've heard Michele
Zukovsky play live several times, and I have never heard her blast over
anything. On the contrary, she has a magnificent sense of subtlety in both
tone and volume. If anything, she plays on the soft side.

As for her wardrobe choice, I concur that she could use some work in that
department. But, the comment about gay men, while not overtly insulting,
showed poor taste. Some gay people I know would have taken offense.
