WOWWWW!!!!!!!

Hi Rochelle! It's funny how just a little letter goes so far.
I just joined this list
and a clarinet friend from Conn. was on whom I had talked with in ages and
now you. . I was just an hour ago talking about you to Hannah Spence. She
was saying that you were having an easy time of things. How is it? I
possibly know your teacher but can't think of the name right now. I was glad
to hear you went on to what I hear is a decent place.
About me.....hmmmmm.......I've spent the last year and a half
teaching 25
clarinetists, playing in an opera orch( I always think of our moment of fun
when I do opera actually) and teaching at a college in VT and a community
music school in Mass. I'm also a member of the Syrinx Ensemble, a ww quartet
sponsored by the mass arts council. Busy but a little unhappy. I've also
spent since last Feb. battling/working with/nagging/etc. with Oberlin about
my career and college plans. Finally, a month ago it was solved. I was
allowed to reaudition to continue and they have found me a different teacher,
Dan Gilbert
(new 2nd clarinet in Cleveland Orch). You might remember him. He was Sif's
(the blond violinist from Finland) boyfriend and would occasionally be found
practicing in Robertson. It's a perfect situation for me and I will go this
Feb, and graduate in Dec. It will be weird going back, however I have a lot
more confidence than when I left. I don't know how long LM will be there. I
hear conflicting reports all the time. I'm just happy that I can now get on
with my life so to speak. Well enough blabing for now. I look forward to
keeping intouch.
